Hello everybody, id like to know if there is a possibility to define a spot from a previously existing one. Lets asume we have the following procedure: 1. You create a spot from AIX CD1 or a mksysb backup. 2. At some point you remove the spot (without deleting the files) or unconfigure your NIM Master. However, the files of the spot are not destroyed, corrupted or otherwise unuseable, instead they are just remaining on the Filesystem without a NIM definition/reference. Now you want to reconfigure the NIM Master and it would be nice if you could just define the spot nim-object, without the need of copying the files from CD/mksysb again (which costs up to 20min). There is such a possibility for lpp_sources and mksysbs via commandline (nim -o define ... source=location), but that doesnt work for spots. How can you define a spot nim object if you already have the files for it? Thanks for the answers in advance, pasch6. |
