Dear,

I have a NIM server, which is to backup/restore mksysb my NIM clients within same subnet. I have tried to restore a mksysb images to a NIM client, and it's worked. But I have never done with creating mksysb from NIM client to the NIM server with the following error message:

0042-001 nim: processing error encountered on "master":
0042-006 m_mkbosi: (From_Master) connect Error 0
0042-008 nimsh: Request denied - nim-master0042-008 nimsh: Request denied - nim-master

I would be definitely appreciated if anyone would help me to resolove this problem.

Hi,

Try deleting your client and re-adding from the client

# mv /etc/niminfo /etc/niminfo.bak
# niminit -a name=<hostnamne of client> -a master=<hostname of master> \
> -a connect=nimsh
# nimclient –C
