Hi Folks, Started with a base AIX 5.3 ML03 build. RPM.rte was already installed so I installed OpenSSL ver 0.9.7g-1 then installed OpenSSH 4.1.p1 (4.1.0.5301) via smit. When I test for dependencies for rsync I get the following message, " libpopt.a(libpopt.so.0) is needed by rsync-2.6.2-1". Where do I get the libpopt.a (libpopt.so.0) library and what package is it a part of? libpopt.a(libpopt.so.0) is needed by rsync-2.6.2-1. The files are out in /usr/lib, and /opt/freeware/lib so I'm not sure why it's complaining? |

Hi, Did you install popt from the AIX Linux Toolbox? On my version of the Toolbox CD, I had to install popt-1.7-1.aix4.3.ppc.rpm for rsync. |
