Hi There's no way. Those device drivers only work for IBM USB Keyboards and mice. AIX does not have basic support for USB drivers. This is one of the failures of AIX comparing to Sun Solaris. They should work on this.

Hi Yes. Suse has far ahead more support for USB devices than AIX. I hope AIX 6 brings more support for OEM devices. Nice idea to have SUSE LPARs. They work very well even in SAP enviroments.

| Just for giggles I hooked a USB Flash drive to a 510 running AIX 5.3 Maintenance Level 5 and it recognized the drive when I ran the config manager. If I remember correctly I just imported the flashdive as a volume group and then moved the files across. It was about 6 months a go and my memory isn't what is used to be, (if it ever was.) |
