When I run the command:

usr/sbin/mksecldap -c -h 'istest1.tridentad.org' -a 'cn=orcladmin' -p 'mypasswd' -A 'ldap_auth' -d 'dc=tridentad,dc=org' -n '389'

I get the following error:

Cannot find the group base DN from the ldap server.
client setup failed.

I am running AIX 5.3 ML4 and everything appears to be set up correctly so why the error? The same thing happens when I use smit ldap. Any help is appreciated.

When I tried to run
start-secldapclntd
Just to make sure if it was running or not and got this error:
Starting the secldapclntd daemon.
user/group attribute map path not found. Add usermappath or groupmappath to
the /etc/security/ldap/ldap.cfg file.
user/group attribute map path not found. Add usermappath or groupmappath to
the /etc/security/ldap/ldap.cfg file.
The secldapclntd daemon failed to start.

I am trying to do a PAM auth with Oracle OID and do not know what to put for these 2 fields, can some help?

I found the problem. It was that there was nobody set up with posixGroup.
