migratepv

i year ago i added external disk to the rootvg which is not recommend and i tried to migrate and LV from hdisk1 using this command migratepv -l lv01 hdisk1 hdisk33 hdisk32 to an external disk, the migration was successful my question is how do I move back the LV to its hdisk1?

Note: hdisk33 and 32 is on the same size let say hdisk33 and 33 = 17 GB
and hdisk1 is 36GB thats why i used two hdisk.

is it safe to use migratepv -l lv01 hdisk33 hdisk32 hdisk1?

hope to hear your comments on this

thanks

pete

Re: migratepv

Hi,

I think you must do the migratepv in two phases:

migratepv -l lv01 hdisk32 hdisk1
migratepv -l lv01 hdisk33 hdisk1

but I recommend that you try testing with another not critical logical volume before.

Regards
Silvia.

/agreed because you may specify more destination disks with this command but you can only specify one source disk. Do as silvia said and you should have no troubles.

Cheers seth
