If you're running Informix on AIX 5.3 TL-05, you may encounter a memory leak. The symptoms will be an ever increasing amount of memory consumed by the Informix msc thread. You can view this by using the informix utility onstat -g glo to get the PID of the msc thread, and then using ps -elf to watch the memory consumption To fix this, you will have to contact AIX support and request efix IY91677. You must have Service Pack 3 applied to AIX before this fix can be applied. Use oslevel -s to verify your service pack level. DT |
