I have a p51a that I don't know the admin password when SMS starts up. How can I reset it?

Hi

I think you need to power off your server and take out the battery that keeps the server processor alive.

However it's a good idea to call IBM.

That was the first thing I tried before I posted, and I still couldn't login. I did contact IBM but my rep is out until March 4th. so was hoping for an answer before then.

I found the answer. There is a very small switch on the motherboard with 2 dip switches. Just flip the 2 dip switches in the opposite direction and boot up, it will ask for the user: admin and password: admin and then ask to reset the admin password.
