I am currently trying to set up our AIX 5.3 machine to authenticate through Windows AD and the documentation says that the passwords must follow the rules of both machines. The question is: if the AD has a password of greater than 8 characters will it work for authenticating through KRB5 on the AIX machine? My thinking is that it will not work and that the password will have to be shortened. Larry |
