I have recently set up Kerberos and everything appears to be working fine except I cannot get it to authenticate through Active Directory. I have editted both the /usr/lib/security/methods.conf and /etc/security/user files and also put the AD server in the hosts file. I ran the mkkrb5clnt command and created the client and ran ktutil to add the keytab. I also ran the chauthent -k5 -std command and stopped/started inetd. I ran the kinit command and everything appeared to be fine, so what am I missing? |

I know this is going to sound like a sales pitch but I'm just a happy customer check out centrify. Simple install (installed in a couple of hours, 1 week later it was signed off to go in production), no AD scheme extensions and it didn't cost all that much. Plus the best thing that I like, if something goes wrong they fix it, I don't need to dig throught a hundred config files, there is no screwing around. |
