iSCSI Boot

Hello,

I am new to the forum.

I was wondering if someone has some documentation on how to set up a System p510 server to be able to boot [AIX] via iSCSI.

Thanks.

Re: iSCSI Boot

I could read as belows from a document on iSCSI TOE adapter at the time of AIX 5.3 TL04 announcement.

How can iSCSI be used with AIX?
• iSCSI hdisks can be used like any others (Volume groups, LVM, JFS/JFS2)
• No install/boot support for iSCSI disks at this time

Re: iSCSI Boot

Please follow these steps.
1. Reboot the system
2. When icons appear on the screen ( you will hear an acoustic signal at the same time), press F1
3. Select the boot devices

best of luck
