I have built a second NIM master on a p650 from a mksysb of another NIM master. However, this new NIM server does not have any master functions available but seems to be a standard NIM client. Any ideas what is wrong. |

Did you install the mksysb via NIM? If so you'll probably need to add the nim.master fileset and then configure it. You'll also need to remove the nim client settings.

Yes, I did install via NIM. The nim.master fileset is not installed. This is the bit I don't understand as the original mksysb does have this installed as it is from a NIM master which I am trying to clone. I was trying to avoid re-building the NIM server from scratch. Anyway, if this is the way that it works then I will go-ahead and intsall the nim.master fileset and re-configure NIM. |
