Requirement is to install Apache 2.2.0 with OpenSSL 0.9.8 on AIX 5.3 TL04SP1. Downloaded apache 2.2.0 & openssl. Server Type is RS6000

referred this forum for apache 2.2.0 installation and php installation and installed the following rpm
rpm -Uvh gcc-4.0.0-1.aix5.3.ppc.rpm
rpm -Uvh libgcc-4.0.0-1.aix5.3.ppc.rpm

the configure command ./configure -C --enable-so --prefix /usr/local/apache2 seems to be in an infinite loop as shown below.

You'll need to install the Berkeley DB package, if it isn't already, and then tell Apache where it is using the -with-berkeley-db parameter on the configure script.
