Hi We are working in the installation of SoftwareAG Orchestrator SW on AIX 5.3. Documentation ask for configuration of the maximum number of TCPIP established connections for AIX. I think this is achived by manipulation of the no variable somaxconn somaxconn Purpose: Specifies the maximum listen backlog. Values: * Default: 1024 connections * Range: 0 to MAXSHORT * Type: Connect Diagnosis: N/A Tuning Increase this parameter on busy Web servers to handle peak connection rates. But i'm not sure. Do you know how to increase the number of concurrent TCPIP port connections in AIX ?? Thanks in advanced

Try increasing the number of Pseudo Terminals (PTYs). Use smit chgpty and change the Max num PTYs to a higher number, like 1024.
