Hello, I have noticed an increase in cpu wait over the past few days wait average has increase by 2% and I'd like to determine what has caused this increase. 2% is not necessary a high amount however the server is close to capacity and identifying the change will be a great help to the system any idea's where I can look? I have control on all cron jobs and changes to the system however some users sneak changes in through a 4ge program. Many Thanks Chris

Aye up !! Have a look at the performance tools handbook for AIX5L (redbook). Chapter 35 talks about the curt command which is a tracing tool to create CPU reports etc. It is quite an interesting read but leans towards the internals of AIX quite heavily IBM Redbooks | AIX 5L Performance Tools Handbook HTH Steve
