Hi all, I have an IBM server 44P 270. I want to know the number of DIMMS present on that server so that i can upgrade memory. Furthermore i have 4gb of memory. How to know whether the memory consists of 256mb, 512mb or 1gb. Thks, Sailesh |

lscfg -vp | grep -p "Memory DIMM" should show the vpd, size, number of, location of your dimms. Memory modules must be removed in pairs and in the correct slot configuration. (Slots J1 and J2, J3 and J4, J5 and J6, and so on.)Up to 16 dimms per memory card Up to 2 memory cards per system |
