Hi all! I'm trying to install extra locales for the italian language but I can't find anything on the installation CDs. At the moment locale tells that only en_US language is installed: # locale -a C POSIX en_US en_US.8859-15 en_US.ISO8859-1 In which fileset am I supposed to find the other locales? On which CD do I find it? Thanks in advance for any help! Claudio          |

If memory serves - and it is sometimes a bit Faulty - the Languages are on install CD for both AIX 5.2 and 5.3. (don't have the media handy to check unfortunately). The fileset in question should be bos.loc.iso To install: smitty -> System Environments -> Manage Language Environment -> Add Additional Language Environments

Many thanks for the input... I knew I was missing something. I was trying to install additional software and wasn't aware of the language environments thing. Now I have all the locales needed (they were on the fifth CD of eight). Thanks again and ... doorgaan met het goie werk!!! Groetjes, Claudio  |
