I have a filesystem containing two directories having the same name. I unmounted the filesystem and did a fsck on it but that came back clean. I am trying to find a way to list the hidden character on the directory name. This is an output from the directory:

-rw-rw---- 1 cacheusr cacheusr 1355808768 Oct 26 07:53 CACHE.DAT
-rw-rw---- 1 cacheusr cacheusr 17 Oct 25 20:10 cache.lck

drwxr-xr-x 2 cacheusr haemrm 4096 Oct 25 20:10 ensemble

I was able to find the solution to my problem. Using the following command

ls -al | cat -v

this showed the hidden characters in the name.
