Help with RPM

I'm getting this message when I try to install vnc which is an rpm package:

error: failed dependencies:
libX11.a(shr4.o) is needed by vnc-3.3.3r2-3
libXext.a(shr.o) is needed by vnc-3.3.3r2-3
libXt.a(shr4.o) is needed by vnc-3.3.3r2-3

But all those files are present. I eventually installed X11.base but I still get this message.

So, I'd like to know how to unpack the rpm and look inside and see what is it actually looking for. Not really an AIX question. More of a Linux question but I'm on AIX 5.3. Actually, I'm on VIOS but, that is really just 5.3.0.50.

Any help would be appreciated.
