I am trying to setup an AIX agent for a new remote backup system. When I run a telnet test for the connection it does not go through. I opened the ports on my firewall. Do I have to open ports or do something on the Unix box? If so how? Thank you in advance. Jason |

Hi Is the agent running on the AIX host ? Can you telnet locally to the specific port ? Check the app is listening with netstat -an | grep <port> HTH Steve
