Hi Steve, I too am interested in "AIX pseries System Admin Certification" paper. Is it possible to get some dumps or questions of the exams? if it can be made available then it would be of great help. Prakash, If you goto the the certification link Steve posted and look under "test information" and then click on the exam you want to take, second tab on the page is "sample/assesment tests". Sometimes IBM supply a few questions but for all the exams I've done so far (180,222) I've had to go externally to AssessTrac and purchase them. Only $10 and I can say that so far the prep questions are very similar to those you'll get in the exam. Combined with the right redbooks and experience of hands on you'll have no problems. Good luck. |

Hi h8mmer, i did tried the "sample/assesment test" for Test 222, but failed. i am reading some redbook for Test 222 and hoping to give the test soon. Well i need one clarification here. Do the questions asked in "Sample/assesment test" ( Test 222 ) are the same or similar to questions asked in the actual exam of Test 222? Do you have any idea or came across some person who has certified the Test 222, by giving first the "sample/assesment test" and then the actual paper? Hi Raja, did you able to clear the paper? please help us too..

Hi, I studied the redbook, took the sample test and gained as much practical experience as possible. In my opinion there is no point in getting questions that are the same as the exam. What is the point in taking the exam in that case ? You aren't proving your knowledge of a subject, just the fact that you can memorise information. HTH Steve

Hi steve, Thanks for sharing the redbook link. Well some days back i got this link from IBM site also, and reading it chapter by chapter. Unfortunatly i have no privelaged access to AIX 5L system, because of which i am lagging practical exposure. thanks for your kind guidense.

| Prakash, Without practical experience I'd question your motives for taking the exam in the first place. If you are trying to take the exam for personal development and you reguarly use other flavours of unix then great, I applaud you and wish you the best of luck. However, if you want to get 222 under your belt so you can try and sell your skills in AIX then I'd seriously advise re-thinking your goals as your lack of experience will show almost immediately. I took the exam (employers request) after having used AIX for a few years and after brushing up on a few pointers with the redbook. The sample questions were used to just to make sure I felt ready a couple of days before I sat the test. Cheers, H8mmer |
