GPGS /HACMP setup

Hello all,
I am getting ready to implement GPFS along with HACMp upgrade from 5.1 to 5.3 on AIX5.2 ML8. Has anyone done this before? if So what’s your experience ? Anywhere I can find compatibility list for the GPFS-HA and AIX (which version goes with which?)
Any known gotchas ? That I should be careful about?
This is a production environment which was setup without GPFS for 9iRAC (I inherited it) ,so trying to configure it right .

I was planning to upgrade HACMp to 5.3 instead of 5.3 ,but according to our DBA ,it is not supported by oracle with 9iRAC . Please confirm.
