Hi, I am running a test to see what performance and implications GLVM will have on our operation, but I have hit a weird problem. I created the RPVserver and RPVclient, but when I add the remote volume group, it does not find the remote site. I also noticed that list the remote site shows the remote disk, but not the site name. Version of GLVM is 5.4.1.0. lsrpvserver -H gives this information # RPV Server Physical Volume Identifier Physical Volume # ----------------------------------------------------------- rpvserver0 00047413955a7217 hdisk2 lsrpvclient -H gives this information # RPV Client Physical Volume Identifier Remote Site # ----------------------------------------------------------- hdisk4 00047413955a7217 The section under remote site is missing. I cannot extend the VG, as it is missing something, but I can't put a handle on exactly what is missing. I declared each site seperatley, have trashed and rebuilt the configuration, but no luck. Any thoughts, stabs in the dark?? Last edited by PaulClayton; July 17th, 2008 at 11:28. |

Hi Paul, Out of interest, are you doing sync or async mirroring/do you have the choice ? have never implemented glvm before and wondered what it would be like for an Oracle DB in a DR scenario with a warm standby database ? what bandwidth do you have between the sites and what is the rate of change in your data ? Thanks Steve
