ftps (not sftp) on AIX

I have a request to interface with a customer using ftps, which is apparently
quite different from sftp. Does anyone know where I can get an ftps client for aix?

Wow. lftp sounds like a real swiss army knife that can do what I need. Now if I can find someone with an ftps server that will let me test connections...

FTPS (commonly referred to as FTP/SSL) is a name used to encompass a number of ways in which FTP software can perform secure file transfers. Each way involves the use of a SSL/TLS layer below the standard FTP protocol to encrypt the control and/or data channels. It should not be confused with SSH file transfer protocol, or FTP over SSH.

Re: ftps (not sftp) on AIX

I got a windows client that I can use. The next piece of the puzzle that I don't understand is why this business that we want to deal with requires the connection be secured by verisign when we could sign our own key. This isn't a web site, its just a connection between us and them. The same type thing is done every day in unix with ssh-key-gen and there isn't a need for a 3rd party to get involved to 'bless' that connection.
