Fonts On Aix

Hello,kindly if someone can help me in the following problem:i have an application server on AIX that requires the installation for some fonts in the format ".pfb and .afm " font files to display arabic characters on pdf reports.Does anyone know how to convert ttf to pfb or afm on aix ?Any further ideas will be appreciated
