Error changing "fsize" to "-1"

i want to create big datafile of oracle tablespace, but i got the following error:
............. ORA-27039: create file failed, file size limit reached
so, i go to "smtty users" to change the limitation. unfortunately, i can't change it because a error occur:
3004-692 Error changing "fsize" to "-1" : Value is invalid.

help me please,

have you tried doing it via command line?
chuser fsize=-1 oracle

I was tried it, and result the same error like before. And I also changed file /etc/security/limits too, but when i run the "ulimit -a" command the result still ..
time(seconds) unlimited
file(blocks) 2097151
data(kbytes) 131072
stack(kbytes) 32768
memory(kbytes) 32768
coredump(blocks) 2097151
nofiles(descriptors) 2000
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i want to change
data(kbytes) 131072 to >> data(kbytes) unlimited
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am a Newbie on AIX. can someone tell me where I can learn about AIX from the beginning.

ulimits only take effect upon the next login. They generally can't be expanded dynamically. You need to log out of the ID and log back in, and you should see the new ulimits there.

i did more than just logout, i reboot the machine but the error still occur.
i supposed there was something wrong with the machine or AIX.

what terminal/emulator do you use ?

are you doing "chuser" or "smit user" as root ?

I finally fixed this problem.
===== not recommended problem solving (amateur way)==============
I Opened /etc/security/limits, then I removed the "fsize " value at user "oracle"
And typed again "chuser" command, nothing error happens. I reboot the machine, then I create oracle bigfile tablespace, ……… and bigfile created …

Looks to me like you fixed it the right way, the fsize stanza was corrupt in /etc/security/limits.
