| Hello All, We have a DS4700 attached to AIX running 5.3. Initially while configuring I forgot to rename the Storage Subsystem Client Name to XXXX from YYYY, now the machine is in production. Its my understanding that I can rename the Storage Subsystem Name on the fly anytime as it doesn't really referenced anywhere else. But wanted to get a confirmation from your folks. If not what are the steps involved for safely renaming the same. Thanks in advance. |

The name is not used on the Fibre Communications so can safely be renamed on the fly. Its only used within the Storage Manager so you can differentiate the various DS4700's you may have in your environment.
