Hi Everyone, Something I haven't done a lot of is performance tuning on disk subsystems etc. I have started to record performance throughput on a number of DS4000 storage servers. I know workload (OLTP/Random) and (DW/Sequential) will have a strong influence on the performance figures you see. For max KB/s and IO/s could you take a few moments to record the largest values (in addition CPU and memory allocation for that LPAR you are recording) and the model of storage server (ie, ds4500) plus any performance tuning you have done to improve Below on DS4500 RAID5 arrays (5 disks per array) OTLP Database , 5CPU, 20GB Mem, Max KB/s 56,416, Max IO/s 2018 DW(datawarehouse) 1CPU, 8GB Mem Max KB 79,044, Max IO/s 2143 Below on DS4500 RAID10 array (4 disks per array) OTLP Database , 4CPU, 14GB Mem, Max KB/s 44,918, Max IO/s 5615 (This filesystem is also Concurrent I/O) TIA for any input Steve
