Hi All - I am new to the forum(and use pseries/unix family) so am hoping there might be some experts that can shed some light on this issue. We just received an used p5-505 unit last week. I changed IP address to(137.9.40.3), but if I reboot it. I cannot ping that ip# (137.9.40.3). i can ping p 505 with new ip (ip# from another dhcp server). I checked tcp/ip(use smit) ip still 137.9.40.3. if i rerun tcp/ip (from smit) automaticaly ip# change from dynamic to static. How to solve ? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Dirwanto |
