Hi all I have just realised that my lpar can only see through one path to the storage server. fget_config –A shows: ---dar0--- dac0 ACTIVE dacNONE ACTIVE hdisk2 dacNONE hdisk3 dac0 hdisk4 dacNONE hdisk5 dac0 hdisk6 dacNONE hdisk7 dac0 hdisk8 dacNONE hdisk9 dac0 I have run rmdev –Rdl dar0, fcs0, fcs1, dac0 and checked the host port information on the storage server is the same network address returned by lscfg –vl fc0 and fcs1. I then run cfgmgr again but I still get the above. This is the sixth lpar on the frame and lslpp -l | grep devices.fcp* shows that the firmware level is the same as the other lpars (running aix 5.3) but I do not have this problem with any other lpar. Any ideas please? Thanks

Hi there Have you checked your storage zoning and lun masking ? Check to ensure that you have defined both HBA's on the storage and created zones containing the HBA's and controllers. I generally configure one HBA to one controller (ds4000) HTH Steve

Hi steevojb Thanks very much for the tip. You were right on. I had made some changes to the effective configuration on the two SAN switches and even though they both had the same ports in the zones, there was a minor difference... I have now enabled the same configuration on both switches and I am now seeing the other controller as well. Best regards Jisco

Hi Steevojb, This is jatin chawla here. I am also facing the same problem. From your reply I have checked the zoning and storage part also. It is also perfect and with both the HBA's. Still I am getiing the same error. Also, I am unable to see 'dac1' as a device like 'dac0'. How can I get the same. I have done rmdev dar0,dac0,dac1,fcs0,fcs1 and even reboot the server also. But no effect. And the same LUN is visible to another LPAR. since both LPARs in cluster. Please tell me the solution for the same. Quote:
