An admin removed a user before checking the users cronatab. So I went in and moved the cronjobs out, removed the crontab and then hunted down all the removed user's files and chowned them appropriately. I still recieve the following root mail every day.

Was the user that was removed using their own crontab or using another one? If he/she was using his/her own then crontab -r username should take the whole file out.

#crontab -r username produced the following:

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
crontab: You have entered an invalid optional user ******
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

But i have come up with a possible solution. I've re-added the user, made a new crontab then used crontab -r ****** and then removed the user. So I will know tomorrow morning if this has worked.
