We have made good experience with the bootinfo -s command (root user needed). Usage:
bootinfo -s <hdiskxy>
where hdiskxy could be a dlmfdrv too if you use HDLM for example.
I had just once a problem with the bootinfo that it showed invalid data, but can't remember on which special circumstance this was, maybe a disk-heartbeat device, I don't know it anymore.
