Hello all,

On my DS4300, i have flashcopy enable, and i'm looking for some concept information.

I've define my flashcopy volume to be mount on backup server. Relation between host and target is OK and everything work well when i do importvg and started my backup on my backup server.

My question is : On the target (backup server), is the hdisk i see is (or must be) the same as my source server or can it be différent hdisk for the same VG ?

for exemple, in production, i have :
hdisk4 dbprd_vg
hdisk5 dbprd_vg
etc...

Must i have on backup server :
hdisk4 dbprd_vg
hdisk5 dbprd_vg
etc...

or may i have :
hdisk8 dbprd_vg
hdisk12 dbprd_vg
etc...

??
