I have another addition for discussion

If you have a p570 with no additional I/O drawer. What would be the optimal configuration.

The p570 supports 6 pci cards (not using the internal ethernet apart from scsi for internal disk)

Would you

Have 2 VIO servers

1 * HBA
1 * Ethernet
1 * SCSI adapter (only on 1 VIO to allow you to LPAR the 570)

This leaves one spare slot

Or 1 VIO server

2 * HBA
2* Ethernet

Leaves 2 spare slots

I would never consider a server with a single HBA as this would be a SPOF, but with 2 VIO servers, you have removed the SPOF as you have a failover path.

Would this configuration be supported with HACMP across 2 p570's ?
