NIM and me

I have never set up NIM and I am getting the following output when running the nimconfig command:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
# nimconfig -a pif_name=en0 -a netname=network1 -a cable_type1="N/A"

0042-001 nimconfig: processing error encountered on "master":
0042-180 m_chmaster: The ip address 127.0.0.1 does not belong to
the network 10.10.101.64 which is represented by
the nim object network1.

/usr/sbin/rmitab: 0481-207 The ident field specified does not exist.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have tried running this under smit and I get an error stating that I need to specify the cable type and I don't know how to rectify that situation. So I tried the good ole' command line and get the error posted above. I assume that the /usr/sbin/rmitab is just a back out method trying to remove the nimesis daemon thats not even there yet. Why is NIM being cranky with the loopback and what can I do about it?

Thanks in advance for your help
